This is the booking and payment page for AutoHive Business Consulting. The bookable engagement is the first consultation, a three hour working session held in person or online at a fee of R3 500 including value added tax where applicable. The full R3 500 is payable on booking and there is nothing to settle on the day. The full R3 500 is credited against a governance check if the client proceeds to one. Before any payment is taken the page screens the enquiry against the practice's published criteria: it works with companies, trusts and family owned entities turning over between R20 million and R250 million, and it does not take non profit organisations, body corporates, or structures that cross a border. An enquiry outside those criteria is told so before it reaches a payment screen, so that nobody pays for a meeting that would be declined. On successful payment a calendar invitation is issued from the practice's Microsoft 365 calendar with an online meeting link attached, and a written confirmation is sent to the address given. The governance check and the non-executive director seat are quoted on complexity rather than booked from this page, so both route to an enquiry instead.

Booking

Three hours, R3 500, settled before we sit down.

The first consultation is the only thing on this site you can book and pay for directly, and it is paid in full at the point of booking. Nothing is owed on the day, so the session ends on what was decided rather than on an invoice. The governance check and the board seat are quoted on complexity, so both start with a conversation rather than a card. Before the payment screen appears you will be asked two questions, because taking money for a meeting we would decline helps nobody.

First, the two questions

These decide whether we are the right practice for you.

Both criteria are published on how we choose and neither is negotiable. Answer them honestly. If the answer is no, you will be told here rather than three hours into a paid session, and pointed at somebody who does the work you actually need.

What happens next

Four steps, and you can see all of them.

The payment clears

The payment page is operated by the gateway, not by this site, and no card details ever reach us or are stored by us. You receive the gateway's own receipt immediately.

Read the terms

A calendar invitation arrives

An invitation is issued from the practice diary with the time, the duration and, for an online session, the meeting link already attached. Accept it and it sits in your own calendar.

What the session covers

You are asked for documents

Whatever exists: the entities, a trust deed, a shareholders' agreement, the last financial statements. You do not have to tidy them. If they were in order you would probably not be booking this.

What we look at, and who reads it

We sit down for three hours

And at the end you get one of three answers: there is work worth doing and here is roughly what it is, there is work worth doing but not this year, or this is not our problem to solve and here is who should look at it.

The three outcomes

The terms, in full

Everything the law requires, and a plain reading of it.

South African law requires certain information to be given before an electronic transaction. It is set out below in ordinary language rather than in a linked document nobody opens.

What you are buying, and for how much

  • A three hour advisory consultation, online or in person.
  • R3 500 in total, payable in full on booking. Nothing is owed on the day.
  • The full R3 500 is credited against a governance check if you proceed to one.
  • No other charge is added at any point. There is no booking fee.

Moving or cancelling

  • Move the session once, at no cost, with at least 48 hours notice.
  • Cancel with at least 48 hours notice and the full R3 500 is refunded.
  • Cancel inside 48 hours and half the fee, R1 750, is retained to cover the preparation already done and the time held. The other R1 750 is refunded.
  • If we cancel, for any reason at all, the full R3 500 is refunded.
  • If we decline the work after the session, you keep the outcome of it and owe nothing further.

The other two engagements

Quoted, not booked.

A governance check starts at R10 000 and a board seat starts at R10 000 per month, and both are priced on complexity, so neither can be honestly sold from a payment button. Both start with the same three hour consultation, or with an email if you would rather talk first.
